Required account information is needed to create and maintain a crew. You can use available account-free previews without creating a crew. Do not put confidential or sensitive personal information into game answers.

Local and shared data are different

Some activities stay in the current tab; others save settings or progress in your browser. The planner saves notes on your device only when you enable its storage option. Connecting the planner to a crew reads that crew’s approved memories. Uploading a new moment requires review and a separate sharing choice. All crew members can read shared lines; permissions for future callbacks and yearbook inclusion are separate. Room-code guests cannot read private crew history.

Providers and recipients

Cloudflare provides website delivery, hosting and database infrastructure. Authorized crew members receive the content you share with their crew. Payment processing uses Stripe when enabled; no payment is collected by the current closed checkout. Email you send is handled by the email providers involved in delivery and our support operations. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and service security.

Generated artwork and prerecorded synthetic narration are produced using creative AI services, including Higgsfield workflows. The current saved narration player requests prepared audio assets; it does not need to send your written crew memories to a generation service. Optional device speech is governed in part by your browser/operating system and may use its speech services.

Retention and deletion

Local browser data remains until cleared by the relevant control or browser, unless the feature uses session-only storage. Signed-in session cookies have a 30-day maximum age. Crew content is retained while needed for the active crew and can be removed through available author/organizer controls; account deletion is subject to resolving an active subscription. Access restrictions can take effect before stored credential records are cleaned up.

Support, security, billing and legal records are kept only as needed for their purpose, applicable recordkeeping duties, disputes and security investigations. Provider backup and deletion cycles may differ from live database removal; no instantaneous backup-erasure guarantee is made. Contact support for retention information about a specific record. Clearing browser data does not delete cloud crew content.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. Use support@yarnfire.com. We may request proportionate ownership verification but will not ask for your private return link. Where GDPR applies, requests are normally answered within one month; permitted extensions require notice and reasons. You can complain to your local supervisory authority, including the UK ICO. Rights have legal limits and may require protecting other people’s data.

International processing

Media Yard LLC is in the United States; infrastructure and providers may process information outside your country. This notice is not a claim of EU-only or UK-only hosting, or certification under a transfer framework. Restricted transfers require an applicable lawful mechanism and assessment. Organizations should request the applicable provider, location and transfer documentation before sending personal data under a processor engagement. See EU & UK information.

Children and automated decisions

Creating or joining a cloud crew is an adult-only pilot. Family and school-themed account-free activities should be led by an adult; do not create child profiles or submit children’s personal records. Contact support if a child’s information has been submitted. Yarnfire is for recreation, not automated decisions about employment, education, health or eligibility. Game scores are not assessments of people.

Updates

We update the date when this notice changes and provide additional notice for material changes where appropriate. A new notice does not silently authorize a new use requiring consent.
